Students of the physical therapy department featured “Trust Your Heart to the Lord,” a skit coupled with a health lecture series last Sabbath, February 16, 2019, during the Adventist Youth program.
In his lecture, Dr. Alejandro Egarle, former physical therapy professor of AMCC, discussed the history of genetics, the role heredity plays in diseases, and highlighted appropriate food choices to achieve optimum health.
“Trust Your Heart to the Lord,” the skit that stirred the hearts of the youth to discuss valuable lessons made the program reflective and engaging. The participants were Almar Cadiogan, Ruskin Soson, Rogelio Gimino, Rex Semblante, Sheramie Balasico, Johannah Sabio, Kishel Mamentong, John Williams Barba, and Johannah Sabio.
Patrick Ambaan, a nursing student commented: “After the skit, I realized that we give unlimited love. Some people hurt us, and some people accept our love. If people hurt you, don’t stop giving love. God is love.” People will break our heart, but I believe that God has prepared the right person to accept our love and give us love.”
“In life we will encounter two kinds of friends—good and bad. Bad friends will discourage and disappoint us, but good friends lift, enlighten, and encourage us. We have to choose good friends, and these are friends who fear and love God,” Jonielle Faye Siguenza commented
