AMCC RCY Council Leads Successful Blood Donation Drive in Partnership with Philippine Red Cross
On February 18, 2026, the AMCC RCY Council, in collaboration with Adventist Medical Center College (AMCC) and the MADReC Club, successfully conducted a Blood Donation Drive in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross Iligan City Chapter. The initiative brought together students, faculty members, and staff in a unified effort to support life-saving health services in the community.
The activity was spearheaded by the AMCC Red Cross Youth (RCY) Council as part of its continuing commitment to humanitarian service and civic engagement. Guided by the principles of volunteerism, compassion, and solidarity, the organizers mobilized donors across various academic departments to respond to the ongoing need for safe and adequate blood supply in local hospitals.
Strengthening a Culture of Humanitarian Service
The partnership with the Philippine Red Cross Iligan City Chapter ensured that all procedures were conducted in accordance with national blood safety standards. Medical professionals from the Red Cross facilitated donor screening, blood extraction, and post-donation care, ensuring both donor safety and quality assurance.
